"While I thoroughly enjoyed the plot, there were several times when I questioned the main characters' motivations, especially Pari's. Presented first as a strong woman who pulled herself out of the gutter to make something of herself, she has moments of startling weakness that don't fit the picture we initially have of her. Perhaps the leading lady's penchant for making detrimental life-altering snap decisions is a side-effect of her illness, but at times it was hard to suspend disbelief in this area."
